Hello all,

   The editor was re-implemented into the site to allow users to post and submit stories right away rather than attaching the file. This allows users to see exactly what the story will look like on the site, add pictures, chapter etc. The best practice is the simple cut and paste from a word editor so spelling and grammar can be checked and corrected easily. The post a story option in the user menu has been updated and improved! Now users can easily add stories to the site using the built in editor. Make sure to read the "How To" documentation before writing a story for a full understanding of how the editor works.

Hello all,

We have finally implemented a podcast feature to Imaginefiction! You can now submit story podcasts to our site to share with our growing community! You can submit by registering and utilizing the user menu option.

Thanks for all your support!

   We have been receiving a lot of great stories in the past few months! We want to thank everybody for all their contributions and great content to our site.

A few new features:

-          We finally implemented a link from a users story to their profile. If you read a story you like and want to get more information about

            that author and other stories they wrote, you can click on their avatar. Author avatars and and author names are now linkable to there page!

-          We updated to Imaginefiction private messaging system. We are opening up many ways for users to communicate with one another. Now,  

            along with the forum and story comments, you can Private message someone on their  profile page. You will see a PM box on the bottom of 

            the page under the  “About Me” area.

We will also host a new feature that is called, “Story of the Month”! Between the first and last day of the month we will compile all the stories that we feel qualify for the best of the month and narrow it down to one. That author will be recognized and their story will be posted on the front page all month long! So, keep a look out and on the 1^st of November, the first AoM will be recognized on our home page to the site.

Once again, we want to say thank you to everybody for contributing to our site and being part of our growing community.

 A few things to note this month:

-          We are having a poetry contest starting on 8-1-10 and it is going until 8-22-10. It is based on the writing quality and the creativeness of the work. If you have a piece (of your own) you would like to share, please submit it to the poetry section. All works will be reviewed and the winner will be chosen the following week for a $20 Amazon gift card and there poem featured on the front page.  If you have any questions, please submit them to my question box in the forum.

-          If you would like to submit artwork to the site, please do so by e-mailing me. I have had some difficulties with users uploading artwork so please send all artwork on the site to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Also, please tell me the category you would like it in otherwise I will categorize it myself. Sorry for this inconvenience.

As always, thank you for all the great stories and support. We are getting many new authors and stories each week and the writing is great. Always feel free to post and please comment on stories that you read. Everybody loves feedback on thier writing.

     I just wanted to give an update on the site and some improvements that have taken place over the last few months: 

First off, we have created a new artwork section to the site. In this section, authors who happen to be artists can post their artwork. This can be any type of artwork from paintings to drawings. You can add a caption under your work to give the name of your work and/or describe it. The artwork section uses the normal editor so it is fairly easy to work with, but feel free to email me with any questions This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .  

We have started another fiction contest. All the stories posted in our fiction category between today, 5-22-10 and 6-13-10 at 12am MT will be admitted into the contest. If you do not want your work admitted, please let me know. The prize for the winner will be a $25 Amazon gift card. Please see our contest posting on the front page for all the rules and regulations.

Imagine Fiction is currently working on a rating system for all stories and poems. In the meantime, if your story has suggestive themes or language, please make note of it at the beginning of your stories. We will try to get this system up as soon as possible.

In other news, we are now a community of 85 authors and 200+ works and growing! Thanks for everybody's support for our site. Keep up the great writing!

Hello all,

Few things of note:

- The site has been revamped! The background and header have been updated to allow easier reading. The  background is now a static white which allows the font to be less strenuous, especially for longer stories.

- A new guestbook is up. This guestbook has more preventative measures for spammers and the like. Also, due to recent activity on the guestbook, only registered users are allowed to post, though anyone can view it. Please go and post feedback as we always love that!

- We now have over 55 users and 120+ stories! Thanks for everyones contribution and great stories. We are adding more and more features reflecting member feedback. If you have any ideas on making this site more convenient and user friendly, please let us know via the forum or e-mail.

A lot of new stories coming in lately and I want to thank all the member's for contributing such great work! We have also been adding stories, some of our own and some from classic authors such as "Bram Stoker" and "H.G. Wells". 

-The editor has been updated to allow users to modify the HTML format of stories. Also, users are able to add pictures and artwork to stories they contribute to the site.

- Changes are currently being made on the story indexing to make the searching more user friendly.

First and foremost, I want to thank everybody for the great stories and contribution to this site. There are amazing stories posted and I encourage everyone to read and comment on others works. Users love to see feedback on thier stories and encourages them to write more.

There are a few things that have changed or coming up.

Another fiction contest is being hosted! It will run for about a month (11/15 - 12/15) and it will be based on writing creativity. The prize will be a $25 online gift card to Amazon.com. The story can be on any subject and will be considered as long as it is submitted before the deadline. All stories submitted during this time will be considered for the contest unless author specifies that they don't want their work in the contest.

- Story must be 500 words or more.

- It must be submitted in a fiction category (any fiction category will do)

- The work has to be submitted before 12pm MT on 12-15-09

- Use your imagination and be creative!

The forum has been updated. We do not have much imput yet in our forum, so please feel free to contribute! I made the forum as user friendly as possible and if anyone has any ideas on how to improve it, please contact me via forum or e-mail.

There were a lot of great stories in this contest and it was a tough chioce to choose just one. But in the end we decided on Aimee Laine with her short story "A Woman Scorned". The plot was original and it had a great ending. Thanks to everyone for all the great material!

1: Stories submitted to this archive MUST be original fiction works. Reproduction of copyright material is illegal and is forbidden. Any material found to be copied from another source or author will be deleted and the author will be removed from the archive.

If you discover a story which you believe to be plagiarized, please contact us immediately via e-mail or through a private message to chrono23 when you log in. 

1a: Submitted stories should be backed up. While we continually monitor the server and make regular backups, these are primarily to preserve our software and database setup. We make no promise to archive your stories as an alternative to you making a backup. While we make every endeavour to safely store submitted stories, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our control, such as server crashes and hacking attempts etc. which may cause any submitted material to be irretrievably lost.

Disallowed Material: This site does not accept material it's staff considers to be NC-17 in nature. Stories involving graphic sex and/or extreme violence should be labeled NC-17. 5: Removal of account/story: Any authors found abusing the site, other users or staff will be warned and if they continue to do so, will have their accounts removed. Major incidents of abuse will result in immediate removal of the author's account.  

5a: Removal of stories:NC-17/Copyright material is removed immediately for legal reasons - stories with overly spammed review threads are removed. Authors whose stories contain other violations will be contacted by the staff (please note it is your responsibility to give us a working email address and to check you can receive our mail) and given seven days to amend the violation before a staff member removes the stories. All content removed by the site owner and staff is permanently gone and in no way recoverable. This includes chapters, stories, and reviews. Always back up your material.

5b: Rejection of submitted stories. Stories may be rejected for a number of reasons. An e-mail is sent with each chapter rejection. Due to the amount of daily submissions, the staff of Imaginefiction.com will not be able to repair and amend violations in your stories. Stories will be rejected for corrections where needed.

5c: Multiple accounts used for self promotion/reviews. Any  member who registers multiple accounts for the purpose of self promotion or to review their own stories will have their account/s removed.
